Problem
Puma Energy, through the SGR Itigi station, required a compliant and environmentally sound solution for fuel storage infrastructure. The challenge involved engineering fuel handling systems while addressing potential environmental risks such as soil contamination, groundwater protection, and regulatory compliance.
Solution
GIS Engineering & Environmental Services conducted a full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), site risk analysis, and soil testing. We designed and implemented an underground fuel storage system with environmental safeguards, including leak detection, stormwater management, and spill control measures. Our engineering team also ensured structural compliance with Tanzanian energy sector standards.
